How long can fruit cake frozen be kept for?

I have kept the top tier of my brothers wedding cake. It is a fruit cake made with brandy, I wrapped it in cling film and put it back in the cardboard box and then put it in freezer. How long will it keep so that it will still taste nice? Thanks
