Right nostril keeps getting clogged?

Almost every single day for the last 6 months my right nostril will get clogged with mucus about once a day. I can breathe normally it's not blocked or anything like when you have a cold. When it does get clogged I can just blow it out and then it's fine until the next day when my right nostril gets clogged again. Sometimes I have to cough it up because I can feel it deep down in nasal passages. It wasn't really bothering me but now it's starting to get annoying. I was ill twice with flu and chest infections in the winter, could it have stemmed from that? Thanks for any help or info.
