When teeth shift does the nose shift as well?

I have braces on but I feel they are still shifting to one side and now I feel I can breath through my right nostril. The left one feels clogged. I feel my teeth are shifting to right side only and my nose feels like it's on one side as well which is the reason why I am breathing only through my right nostril. I have asked the dentists can you make my teeth shift back the other way and they are like no we can't do that. They said they need to be even meaning my teeth. I am looking at my teeth and they are not even at all! I am more scared since this nose situation came up. What should I do if my dentists aren't going to do what i believe is right?
