Why is my left nostril always blocked?

i can breathe in and out easily with my right nostril but my left nostril is always blocked i blow my nose and mucus come out nd for a second i can breathe threw it but than it goes back to being blocked. does anyone know why? Like if i breath out through my nose air only comes out of my right nostril.
